Default C6 vibrates at idle

I have a 2012 C6, the car has a strange vibration that I only feel when the car is idling. Sometimes the idle speed drops to right about 500 rpms and I can feel it a bit more. Other times I don't feel it at all. Is this normal for the LS3?

I remember this same question being posted early in the C6 forum. Best answer was: It's a hot rod, damn it.

I have a friend that builds hot rods and he installs a cam just for the rough idle. Don't you love it. I do.

My built LPE engine idles at 900 and it doesn't vibrate....it shakes the car. I had to spend extra for that.

Funny mine does it too. Have had many cars with cams and the have a lope to them but this thing will be idling fairly smoothly and suddenly fall off and start shaking and then pick back up. I know its a hipo car but it is not like any cam I ever felt.

Dealer said it was normal, no codes, and reading on here most say normal so I am just living with it.

I've noticed this too with my '13 GS. Idle speed at just a hair above 500 seems low to me. Is this where it's supposed to idle? It doesn't stall or anything, just vibrates at that low rpm level.

I absolutely love the cam induced "lope" this is more of an intermittent shudder at very low idle speed. Sounds like it might be normal though.

Glad to see this post. My 05 C6 (only had for a couple months) does the same thing. I was wondering if it needed a tune up. But now I know. Thanks.

Hrm....mine shakes a bit on start-up but thats it.

LS3s shake a little because they idle at 650.
