To make a long story short I have been trying to find something that was fun to drive but not as radical as the 07 my old man has. I was looking at Boss 302s and 1LE Camaros but I wasn't that thrilled with them....Then it hit me. I knew the next body style Vette is coming out next year and there was certainly great deals to be had. Well one thing led to another and on black friday I took a ride down to Kerbeck to look at a couple Grand Sports. After a $16,000 discount here I am. The car is a 2LT with NPP, black badges, red calipers, black wheels, ZR1 spoiler and embroidered headrests
The only problem I have with this car is a wheel shake at 75-85. Ive been reading and it seems like it could be the rotors. Kerbeck checked the balance on the wheels and said they were good. They also showed me a bulletin from GM saying that from shipping the car could develop flat spots (the car was only built a couple weeks before I got it) and that they would come out after some driving if that was the case. Unfortunately after 500 miles the shake is still there. Kerbeck has offered to come pick it up from my house (120 miles away) and trailer it back to them. However if its something simple Id rather just do it on my own.
Anyways the plan is to just do some basic things to it. I already swapped out the side markers with the ones from the 07 and added LEDs to the interior and license plate. I'm probably just going to tint it, put a MGW in it and add some interior products from DSV.
Nice! I see the 07' in the background taken apart. Are you guys still modding it? My Pop and I both have C6's as well....nice to see another father and son duo. Enjoy it!
Great looking car! I go back and forth on picking up a second set of wheels in black; after seeing pics of yours--I'm even more tempted. Awesome combo!
Dealers make money on warranty repairs. If they are willing to do so, let them come get it and fix your issue. You paid a handsome price for the car, regardless of discount and it should be fixed under the warranty you got with it. Probably not a big deal, but its part of the overall purchasing experience. They give big discounts, they gotta make money somehow......

I doubt they would make any money having to trailer it 240 miles round trip.
Sounds like a Dealer that really understands the meaning of after the sale SERVICE.
Hope you get it fixed easily. Great looking GS.

I agree with flange. Let them fix it as long as they don't have any hidden charges like towing expenses. Sounds more like a tire issue and may be a slipped belt.
