Not really a falling out. IIRC the manual still recommends Mobil 1 but it's not on the oil cap anymore. Also IIRC 5W-30 is the weight most folks use.
Dexos is a spec. GM came up with to make money and M1 meets that spec.

As mentioned above, dexos is a spec. Some MY 2013s came with the dexos oil caps. Others like my 2013 Grand Sport dry sump with the familiar Mobil 1 oil cap.
From the 2013 Grand Sport coupe owner's manual:

Specification
Use and ask for licensed engine oils with the dexos1® approved certification mark. Engine oils meeting the requirements for the vehicle should have the dexos1 approved certification mark. This certification mark indicates that the oil has been approved to the dexos1 specification. Corvette recommends Mobil 1® engine oils that meet the requirements of the dexos1 specification for its dry-sump equipped engines.

Since "ordinary" Mobil1 5W-30 meets the Dexos1 spec, it's easy to meet both requirements.

Here's the list of Dexos1 approved oils:

Wally World in my area carries M1, M1EP, PP and QSUD which are all full synthetics...you'll be fine with any of them.
