Every few years the format changes and we start all over again. Look's promising though.

I believe it is Neil Young that is authoring the pono format. Neil Diamond has not authored anything new in years.

Even if the format did come to light I don't know if I could fit the equipment, speakers needed in the Vette to deliver the sound and still have room for a weekend bag of clothing. A 78 Eldorado trunk is huge.

I am involved in the highend audio world. Hi res downloads have been growing in number for about the past five years. So that part of the concept is not new. he is trying to get a manufacture to build a iPod type device that will decode the higher res material. It will require substantially more memory. The chip sets are readily available for decoding. The great majority of current downloads are unknown groups/ individuals, or older recordings. If he can coordinate these dowloads with new releases it will be great news.
