Window Issue
Hello..I have a 2007 convert. and need to know if anyone has had this problem and what the fix is short of bringing it to the dealer.
When you open the door the window usually drops about 1/2 inch then when you close the door it returns to the closed position.
It was a cold day when I opened the door and didn't notice that the window had not gone down. So when I closed the door the window slamed into the top and of course didn't lock tight. So I shook the window and the window went down the inch and I thought it would be OK. Now when I open the door the window does go down but when I close the door it never goes up. I have to raise it from the inside to close it. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe

You need to index them.
With power on lift windows all the way up and hold the switch for three seconds, release and pull the switch up for three more seconds.

As mentioned, first step is to re-index the windows.
Also, if there is any frost or ice on the glass, that can cause the window to stick and not index. You can run a credit card around the edge to break the ice "weld".
