Mine is a late build and did not have the tape. It did have the lines on the paint from where the top sets over the humps. I managed to polish out the lines with some effort and now keep a good coat of sealant on those areas to prevent the issue from returning.

so is this only on the 60th anniversary white cars or is it showing up on all 427's?
Not sure why the convertible top would be any different from the 427 to the other verts???????

I have the tape and the green marks...vin # 2530. I can't seem to get them removed, I may have to go back to dealer now I know it is a common problem.

Update: I think it strange that some late builds have tape and some don't. After reading so many late builds without tape I went back out and checked mine again, mine was built the last full day of production 02/27/13 and it does have the clear tape and green marks.

Mine is a late build also and I have the marks but NO tape. I am having a clear bra (Expel) put on shortly after bringing the car out of storage. I'lll have buffed and then have the guy put the clear bra in that area.
Thx.

Spoke with dealer in Michigan who went to his warehouse and looked at another white car and it had the same green marks on it on what he said are called protection pads. He said the car on the showroom floor doesn't have them on it but I believe they probably still should remain for protection. He said take car back to Chevy to have them replaced which I did yesterday and am waiting for their response. Somewhat disappointing since car is brand new and I have to spend time dealing with it. I thought the dealer would have went through car and possibly found it if they put top down before shipping.
I would like to know what actually causes this and hopefully it won't happen once they are replaced.

My vanity plates arrived the other day. Just too cold to pull the car out and get a real good picture. Hovering around 5-10 degrees or so---with the windchill we were minus 5 to minus 18 degrees this morning.

Anyway.....both dress up the trunk lid tremendously......they DO NOT stay up. I lined the edges with extra double sided industrial strength Velcro and they still were coming off----solution is to also use something like a superglue.......mine have stayed up since the super glue----it is just much easier to apply this glue when initially installing the liners (3 pieces--1 for each opening) versus later when half the liner is hanging off and half hanging on.
So I'm thinking of getting a 427 trunk liner for my Cyber Grey...where did you find yours?

Believe I ordered it from Corvette Central (part # 616105 or 616127)----looks like they are made for Corvette Central by RPI Designs LCC (paperwork looks like it was a direct ship from the latter). I think you will be very pleased with either design--both dress up the trunk area. I saw the 427 design in one car and it 'wowed' me it was so attractive. Jim

Ecklers carries them too. I got it a year ago and haven't had any issues with it sticking. It looks really good.
