Default New pfadt featherlights installed. And new nitto's. Pics inside.

Had nice enough weather this weekend so thought I'd install my new pfadt featherlight single adjustable coilovers. Also threw some new nitto invo's on my stock wheels. Went with 345's in the back.

Coilover install went pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the factory monosprings out. But I was doing the install myself... It would be much easier with someone helping out.

Started with pfadts recommended settings for stiffness but I'm going to keep playing around with the settings after I get an alignment. Kinda slushly feeling when cornering but if I can't get it I'll ask pfadt what they think.

Ride quality is good. Better than stock. Takes bumps nicely.

Here's some pics.

The slushly feeling is because of the tires. Nitto's are great for normal driving but in aggressive driving the side wall flexes to much. I'm swapping my Invos for Mit PSS because of this.

Ya know, I was thinking it was maybe the tires and not the coilovers. After an alignment I'll try and really get them warmed up and see how they do. Plus, maybe tweaking the stiffness settings on the coilovers can help counter it.

Above is right about the tires. Especially with coils, the invos are just that much more lackluster in terms of handling. For the money...you could have added a few more dollars and bought Michelin Pilot Supersports.

The Nittos come in handy for straight line traction though. If you run them at a lower pressure, they tend to hook pretty nice for an all around tire.

OP, absolutely gorgeous car, and killer shop.

Having coilovers totally changes the car. I have the 1st Gen Pfadts and it was night and day over the leafs.

I also got rid of the Nitto's long ago.

Right now I'm sitting at

Front: 16 clicks from full stiff
Rear: 12 clicks from full stiff

These are pfadts recommended settings for track usage but the feel pretty good around my streets. Gunna play around with it more after an alignment.

Your GS is beautiful and I like the fact your ride sits a bit lower. FWIW, I have not heard good things about Invo's with respect to peformance. That said, I am not sure there is another tire out on the market that is more sexy. I just bought my Koni FSD's but you are making me jealous, brother!!!! I hope you enjoy it.

Love the stance. Can I ask how much the coil overs cost and if you did anything with your lowering bolts to get that low?

Got them from TPS Motorsports for $2200

The factory monosprings and lowering bolts are removed when you go to coilovers.

Great looking car! Thank you for the feedback on the coilovers. A streetable package that still sees a significant increase in On Track Performance were the goals for that particular product. Some shock tuning may help counteract the soft behavior of the car with the new tires, but ultimately the tires are still going to flex the same amount given the same loads... stiffening up the shocks will just help load the tires faster.

Thanks for supporting us and our products. Let me know if there is anything we can help you with!
