Had your forefather and foremothers not hunted you'd not be here.
I have no idea what your leisure activities are, but I'd not fault you for them.
The OP obviously has put away his meat for the year while you get yours - if you eat meat - from a grocery store. The store _trick_ is to deceive yourself that things do not die to feed you....

I am holding out hope that I will be able to keep driving through the winter here in southern NY. I'll keep a good coat of wax on to help keep road salt off and drive through the touch-less undercarriage car wash regularly.
On the topic of hunting, I have never been. I have no moral objection to hunting, it's just really dark, really cold and really early in the morning and I don't want to go. But, the more and more I learn about the food industry, the more I feel I need to take control of what my family and I eat.

If I would have planned ahead better I would have brought it south and left if for when I could get to LV over the winter. But alas time flies and here I sit....blah. As far as the hunting/anti-hunting I have no problem with those that don't or don't like it for whatever reason. My family grew up hunting with our father and grandfathers as they did with theirs. Just part of the culture up here for most. If you don't get it no worries and the best to you I love it. Me and Daniel Boone lol!!!!

I heard a comic say once: We haven't spent the last 6000 years fighting our way to the top of the food chain to eat salad!
Glad we don't get a lot of snow and ice here so we can play all year.

I feel your pain. I put mine away less than a week ago and am already going stir crazy. Going to be a long winter.
I grew up hunting as well. Hunting is better than letting the animal population get out of control where they starve or run into traffic etc.

Have more than 600 hours of classical music, have a library with almost 5,000 books in it - yes, have read most of them.
Good cook, know wines, have seen most of the best museums and finest churches in the world...
So, yes, I have plenty to do in addition to playing Daniel Boone I hunt. I eat what I kill.
You don't want to hunt, then don't,...
I drive my Corvette year round: leaving on a 500 mile trip Sunday, then the day after Thanksgiving on on a 1200+ mile trip. Then, shortly after the first of the year am leaving on a 3,000+ mile trip.... FWIW I just had my 71st birthday. So, yes, I have plenty to do....

Well, let's see college degrees from two superb universities. Worked and traveled and played on five continents - have 600K+ miles in Corvettes, 300K miles in P-cars....

I have no interest in killing things, but I sure enjoy a good venison steak.
