Try a CR spotless water system to go along with the master blaster. It de-ionizes the water so even if you miss a bit with the MB it won't spot. You should be able to dry it without touching the paint with that combo.

Master Blaster is great to help drying, but wont do much for hard water. You can use a cap full of Optimum No Rinse in wash which has a water softner in it. You might see less foam but much better lubrication and limit some spotting.

vs. a $50 Black and Decker cordless blower. I use Zaino, and after a wash, the blower runs the water right off the car. Dries the whole thing to about 95%, down in the cracks and around the lights too!
BTW - I also have well water, no spot problems here....

After I wash and rinse the car with tap water I fill a dedicated pump up sprayer, $7.98 at WalMart, with a gallon of distilled water, $0.88/gal at WalMart, and rinse the car with it to remove the hard water. I then use a leaf blower to get the 95% water removal as mentioned above. This allows for no touch drying when you let the remaining water evaporate, or you can use a microfiber towel to finish drying the car.
This is what the drive through car washes do, wash your car, rinse with softened water, and air blow dry.

Master blasters are a bit pricey but......can not be compared to a leaf blower.....very high velocity heated air, easy access neoprene hose....dries very fast....even in door jams, engine bays,rims,marker/head/tail lights, ect. Exspensive but worth it,especially on darker vehicles that show scratches easily

I've been using a 175mph electric blower I found at Sears on sale for $25 a few years ago. If I really want to blast I just use compressed air from the tank. I've only washed my car (poured water on it) 5 times in 6 years but the blower gets a good workout on my CTS and Avey.

Don't know if these are made anymore, but my brother on hard water has a Mr Clean wash set up, he swears by. My water's not bad, so tap works fine for me. I have a Hoover Porta Power small vac for around the house, that also works as a blower for around car mirrors. Good for air beds too. For cleaning wheels, find it best removing them, for a good washing in the basement, over the the floor drain.

I've been using Mr. Clean for years and am very happy with the results, especially since I also began using the Master Blaster. Unfortunately, the Mr. Clean Auto Dry System is no longer being manufactured.

The CRSpotless is the same thing only bigger and lasts longer. I have have had mine for 3 years and haven't had to change the resin yet. still spotless. If you get it from Costco, you get a box of free resin.

That's good to know - thanks for the tip. Since the Mr. Clean is no longer in production, I'm going to have to switch to something else once my supplies of soap and filter cartridges run out.
