ZR1 baby seat hook up!
hey there
I've searched for a while now, im trying to figure out how to attach a front facing baby seat in my zr1. I dont want to hear any bullsh!t about why i want to do it. Simple, next spring my wife is working a week end on 2. So while she's working, ill drive around in the zr with my son, he love ride in car. so if anyone have experience it will be appreciated, owner manual isn't really helping

Next summer I'll be cruzin' with my 4 year old grand daughter but honestly haven't even looked how to install a forward facing seat yet. This kid is a car girl from the get go! Her initials are "CAR"!

My daughter is 7, so she is no longer in a full car seat, but I use the Recaro high back booster and it works well.
Just make sure the seat is as far back as it will go and always confirm before you take off that the airbag light says "off" in the rearview mirror.
Also, if you can find one, the Vette has an anchor hook for carseats that have a top anchor strap, but the seats do not support the LATCH system.
Good luck.

I use a rear facing with my 11 month old with the seat belt. It works pretty well. I am wondering if I can fit a front facing seat in the vette. I used to take the son with me all the time in my c4

The car seatbelt goes through the baby/toddler seat in the back, under the cushion. Latch the seatbelt in as normal and the kids seat usually has its own belts. I take my 3 yr old for a ride and she loves it, but she thinks that the supercharger cam is too tame...

TimmyZ06,
I take both my boys (individually) in my C6. It is an absolute treat for them. They are 4 and 7 and of average size for their age. I use a booster seat and simply use the existing factory seatbelt and latch. The car seat we have is a Graco(Model ISPB057BA) and I've had no difficulty with it. I do use a liner beneath the Graco car seat and the native seat leather to prevent marring or scuffing of the leather.
I agree with you, the C6's are safe cars and I have no qualms about taking them out. Naturally, I don't do any hot-rodding and the trips are relatively short (<5miles round trip). I don't drive with the top off, but that isn't an issue for you. I will say that I've had police officers see my kids in their seats and they have waved at the boys, so I *presume* it is legal; otherwise, I'm sure they'd write me ticket ASAP.

I...like the gentleman above have 2 young sons, three years and the older to be seven real soon...
They love the Vette. I live in an area where I can go for a quick loop or few miles around without getting on a busy road. I really try and limit the time they have in the car specifically because of the seating situation. Usually, my kids are happy just to crawl under the cargo cover. They know well enough now that to see daddy in the ER is only good if mommy is the one who brought you there.

I was like damn that dude went crazy, then i was relieved But come to think of it, it would be a cool experience for your kid having a ride in the zr1 .. Then remove that babyseat after the ride is finished ASAP!!

speaking of a waste of time, I guess you agree with this ? "B&B's GS" is right, this has to be a joke, looking for a hook up for a baby seat in a vette, he really did not expect to find one. Also it is against the Law in most States to have a child in the front seat of any vehicle, especially a 13 month old baby which this guys says enjoys the ride, he** the baby at that age enjoys playing with a blanket. I'm sorry but that is endangering that babies life for his own pleasure. No matter how careful he is, it only takes a split second for something to go wrong. Like some nut running a stop sign.
