Default Storage is for the birds!

Because my garage is currently full with my 1969 Firebird project, my C6 has been in storage for a bit with the erratic weather we get this time of year.

I've never completely stored a car before because frankly the winters don't get that bad here. This year my car is resting at my parents place in their spare garage.

Well it's beautiful out and I couldn't take it anymore! On my lunch break I grabbed her and gave her a bath. Gonna enjoy this weather a bit before I have to put her back.

Anyway I snapped a couple pics. All photos were taken using 645 Pro on an iPhone 4S and edited in Snapspeed.

Isn't that the truth? Sensible me tried to come up with every reason in the book not to pull her out. She needed fuel, would need a bath, I'm leaving for vacation this weekend.

Ultimately I have a drive to Denver tonight and I would rather take the vette than the pickup.

Sensible me lost.

Great pics for an Iphone. Put mine up early this year, 2 weeks ago. I will see her again in March 2013. I must say, it sure is nice to be able to park my daily driver in the garage for a change.

You don't live that far from me, Lancaster, I'm expecting a lot of weeks. Last year drove mine all year. Because of no real bad weather the car didn't get the usual overall winter detail. Oh well, I would rather drive anyway.

And then next week a blizzard. Utah is the same way at times, not as wild weather as CO though.

Thanks. It's also got some killer roads to drive. Definitely worth a visit if you're in to road trips!

Haha.......felt the same way. Came home a little over week or so ago to a heck of a snow storm, forecast for the next week was not Vette with the top off weather - so the Vette went into it's heated bay, covered up, and most of the insurance dropped.

Should have looked at the 10 day and would have seen a couple of days crawling back into the low 70's. Ahhhh Colorado, gotta love it. I'm used to putting a toy away for the winter though, she'll sleep nicely and I'll see her next spring.

Cheers from NoCo..........

Well I would say we should have a NorCo vette meet this weekend as the weather looks good.

However, I'm flying my *** to Cabo San Lucas on Saturday.

Beautiful car! Thanks for sharing and I agree get that. Car out every chance you get.

Fwiw we here in the ny metro area are now suffering no gasoline available because of the hurricane sandy.

Homes destroyed. Roads destroyed ..no electricity in many areas and now no gas..

Thanks for sharing photos of that red beauty

Thanks for the corvette fix!

Some days you got to realize you need to enjoy the toys you have when you get the chance....

Beautiful red vette!
