It was presented to him while he was in the clubhouse. He probably hasn't even seen it yet. (Not sure if you caught it, but FOX called it a Camaro...)

Eli Manning and David Freese last year both got Grand Sports, right?

True. But even the mention of it didn't seem to be a big deal. They probably just donate it anyways, to avoid paying the taxes on it.

I believe you're right on David Freese getting a GS.

Couple of things:

Hearing "Camaro" (nice job Fox) wouldn't turn many of us on either.

His 3 year extension signed this year was for over $17M...can probably afford______________. (Fill in the blank)

He just won a World Series, and was named MVP and was still sweating from an extra innings World Series game when he was told. I'm willing to bet he had other things on his mind at the moment......not a car.

Relax...............

Noticed all that too. Pablo didn't even seem to know what they were talking about.

Did anyone else notice the color is Tigers Blue (Night Race)? Seems that GM was hoping someone like Cabrera would be taking it home.

Exactly, these guys make such a ridiculous amount of money, a 90k dollar car to them is like a can of Pepsi to the rest of us.

Agreed, and yet the players' unions of different sports have the nerve to lock out seasons because they want more money.

The XFL that Vince McMahon started was a colossal failure, but it had some great ideas. I think a standard pay based on time in the league is fair, and a bonus for winning. Limit the number of trades and such, so that the players can't just go team shopping for more money/perks.

I feel like the level of competition is far lower in sports than it used to be. They don't seem to actually care anymore because they take home such huge amounts of money regardless of their performance. Then they have the nerve to complain about having a 10 year career that only net them a few million, and because the college athletics situations is equally f'ed up they have no skills or use in business, probably can't read or write at a college level, and have to hope to the a commentator job or something.

Obviously there are some exceptions to the rule, but it's a disturbing trend as athletes move more towards being entertainers.

Pablo stated that he does not like corvettes and he will likely give it to his fiancee.

AS REPORTED IN THE LOCAL MORNING PAPER.

Not being from this country and growing up driving on the boulevards as a youth he does not know what the car symbolizes.

Anyway he can buy what ever his big heart desires.

Did Fox get anything right during the Series? If they did, I must have missed it.

As for Pablo, he was clearly subdued during the MVP presentation, which is very much unlike him. Obviously his mind was not on winning a car at that moment.

And about that car, a NRB 427 Vert. That thing was hot!

Plus you see it ALL the time on this forum. It happens when a new forum member comes on here after stepping up to a vette from their previous car. Usually what happens that forum member says they kinda miss their old car and people on here begin bashing (especially if it was an import). I love vettes, but i wouldn't be too excited about them if i could afford a gallardo, murcielago, or aventador
