Condoms?
Fabric "bra"?
Clear plastic film?

Not sure what you are referring to.

Dealer had something on my car for the inside of the handles and around the door edges called "DIGI". I have since removed it as it was kinda buckling at various points...

If you are referring to a clear bra, or paint protective film, I'd advise you to look at a Vette with the film before making the decision. Preferably, talk to a local installer and get some references and look at cars which he has done.
FWIW, after seeing it on a black Z06, I decided against it, at least for the time.

You should always use protection when exploring unfamiliar waters

'08 with clear bra since new. After 4 1/2 years and 41k miles it was pretty beat. I removed it and currently have a front, light lenses and mirrors as pristine as new.
I have had clear bras installed on my last 4 cars.
