Think he misses "rowing through the gears" and feels less than fully involved in driving that car because it has a POWERGLIDE ?

Just mess with its existing aerodynamics a little bit and it's airborne. One of the major considerations in designing high speed vehicles.
And, yes, I was being facetious with my question----- putting a manual transmission in that thing makes as much sense as a manual transmission in an F22 fighter jet.

Beefed up considerably, I'm sure, but a Powerglide none the less. Maybe someone with a lot of drag racing experience can fill us in on this.

A manual transmission in a jet...I wonder how that would work if you missed a gear?

Awesome video and car.

I can see it now, well..............fourty years from now. That young driver is now a grand pa and has the grand kids on his lap and tells them a story about when grand pa was younger and drove a corvette that went 191 mph and plastered him into the back of the seat on acceleration.

Man, that is one bad C6.

Haha, my dad always used to tell me stories of when he was younger and people would put a $5 bill on the dash, floor the car, and if the person could reach forward to grab it they could have it.

Even as a kid I felt like he was exaggerating a bit
