Default Switchbacks with white DRL's

Am I the only one who would like to see a vendor produce a set of switchback DRL's that are white in DRL mode instead of yellow (but still flash yellow when turn signals activated of course)?

They do exist. They're just not very reliable so we never offered them.

Can you elaborate on the reliability issue?

I'm assuming the LED's used would not change so the only component difference would involve the switching logic (having the white LED's light when the headlights are off).

With my switchbacks I just drive with my headlights on during the day. Goal achieved.

The problem with that is the vehicle will not pass state inspection in Texas with white turn signals.

Here is the LAW, from the State of Texas website:

http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.u...htm/TN.547.htm

==========
Sec. 547.324. TURN SIGNAL LAMPS REQUIRED....
(d) A turn signal lamp shall emit:

(1) a white or amber light, or a color between white and amber, if the lamp is mounted on the front of the vehicle; or

(2) a red or amber light, or a color between red and amber, if the lamp is mounted on the rear of the vehicle.

I stand corrected.

Amazing since it was a state inspection tech at the local oil change place who told me that amber lights were required.

Regardless, would still like to maintain the amber light for turnsignal use if at all possible.

The amber turn signals are much easier to see then the white ones. I just hate orange DRLs.

the lens isnt yellow, it's just the bulb. Once you replace the bulb, the house looks "White/clear".

I replaced my stock DRL bulbs from JW Motorsports with the white 60 led lites, you don't have any amber in there so its just white and it looks alot better.

I got a bunch of those Silverstar hyperwhite blubs sitting around from my old Cts....lots of those parts (well not lots but some) fit the Vette.

I was just gonna use em but for sure the Leds will look sharp. do ya get em at Vatozone or ya order them online?

I also swapped out the foglights from the yellowish stock to the silverstar hyperwhites-they look sick. they dont look as good as the Hid mod but again I had a pair of the blubs sitting around so why not. They are $40 for the pair if you wanna go in that direction.
I took a picture of side comparision but the camera couldnt pick up the difference in white lights so the blubs looks the same so I didnt see any reason in posting the pix......$40 bux camera FTW
