2009 vert
the dealer has a 2009 vert for $38,930 plus tax, title, tag and $600 'profit'. the car has 13,436 miles. the description does not list any packages or options vs stand equip. it list LS3, AUTO, HUD, leather... so not knowiing whwat else to look for, i'm assuming this is a base model with auto. it does appear to have chrome rims. it does not say if the top is power or not. anything i need to ask the salesman particularly? I've read all i can on these...cargarus wesite says it's $3200 belowwhat it should be. one owner car.

Have the dealer pull the RPO option code listing for the car or get the VIN and request it via one of the members here on the forum that can look it up. While you have the VIN, get a CarFax history report (the dealer selling the car should be willing to provide it for you) as well as the service history from GM.

The car appears to be loaded including two tone seats. The only thing I see missing is nav and magnetic ride control. That price is not bad but offer them a couple grand less and refuse to pay that "dealer fee of 599.50".
Make the offer and if they do not take it immediately walk away but make sure they have your phone number. That works nearly every time and could save you more than 2 grand.

I cannot find anything on the automatic convertable top. it's not mentioned in any of the packages or the list of options. should i assume all the convertibles have electric tops?

Seems high for a 4 year old car, but 3LT is nice, and too bad it doesn't have Mag-ride. My '09 vert sticker was $66,760.

Looks like a nice pretty much unmolested car. Just take the VIN # to any GM dealer and have them run the GMVIS on the car and you will find what warranty work has been done and if there are ongoing repetitive problems.

Electric top means it raises and lowers with a switch. Otherwise it raises and lowers under human muscle power.
You have a pretty much loaded 2009 convertible -- the only convertible available that year was the "base" Corvette (that is, the non-Z06, non-ZR1 Corvette).
Sounds like a very good find to me, and at a very fair price. If you can talk them down a bit you've got a very good deal.

It is at full retail but a very nice loaded low mileage convert. I would say if you can get them down to around $36-37k + tax, title, tag with no dealer fee I would jump on it.
That dealer has been trying to sell the car for a month so believe me they are ready to deal if they have a qualified buyer making a realistic offer.

This a 3lt vette with which includes a power top, also the crystal red metallic is an optional color ($850) two tone interior ($650). It also has what looks like new Michelin tires. Why with this mileage? The factory tires were goodyears.

So I went to the Hyundai dealer that has this car and took it for a test drive for you. Rides real nice. Everything looks cherry on this car. Offered $5k less than asking and gave them my number.
Better hurry...
OK, I didn't go down there but it looks like everyone here is doing your research for you. Perhaps you should just buy a Hyundai from that dealer...

Don't offer them 36000 bottom line including everything, out the door . if you aren't willing to buy the car. 36K will buy you that car at an excellant price.

3LT was a $6500 option on the vert. Car probably stickered for around $65k. Sounds and looks like a nice car to me. I'd let them know you are serious and offer $2500 less and see what happens. I think you will get it if they know you are close to your max.
btw, love the color combo.

I just bought the same car same colors and equipment only an 08.
I paid $39000 and it was a good deal as they were going at $45000.
In Canada this car listed around $90,000.
Make sure you get 2 key fobs with the key in the bottom in each.
If the battery fail you need to open the trunk with the key to get in the car.
I did not know this at the time.
The fob and key cost $585 In Canada, because I only got 1 with the car and priced it in Canada.
GM partshouse charged me $175 shipped to Canada.
Great car do not wait too long in my opinion

Snide:
Are you saying the corvette vert in question stickered from the factory for 53k when new?
That would be base car with zero options and no paint.
I think I saw options and paint on the car in question.
