Default Z27 Package

I received an email from the Corvette Museum that stated "This listing indicates the last 427 Heritage Package (Z27) 2013 Corvette Convertible will roll off the line tomorrow – for a total of 691 produced for 2013."

So it does look like there aren't going to be a whole heck of a lot of them. Fewer than 60th package. About 27% of the total 427 run.

It's an option package on the 427 that gave the matte black hood stripe & special floor mats. The last one off the line was not a heritage package, it was a 60th anniversary package which is the white car with the light blue/gray stripes that go the length of the car (although the stripes aren't on it yet in the pic when it rolled off the line). The 427 Heritage Package was last on a car to roll off the line a few days earlier.

so if what is typed here is correct, greater than 1500 are anniversary editions? say 1501, and 691 withh the heritage package? meaning only 300 or so "plain jane" models" with no stripe at all? seems like a low number to me. the rare combo is going to be the orange one I saw listed in myrtle beach that I tried to buy.

I'm assuming these responses are into my question posed earlier on the Anniversary Package numbers (white/blue). What was mentioned at the NCRS meeting was fewer than 1000 427's did not carry the white/blue anniversary package. The heritage package is the matte stripe on the hood and the 427 floor mats which was an $1,100 option. I have no knowledge of how many cars orderd with the heritage package. Guess we'll all know in a few weeks once GM post production numbers.

On a side note I went through the plant 3 times for the 2013. During the 2.5 hours museum Xperiance (august) tour, I asked about anniversary cars. i was told they we're pushing 70%. Then I took delivery of my car on 2/13/13 and asked the question again. Was told at one time it was 70% of cars ....... but is less than that now. My fellow NCRS guy stated "striped cars we're less than 1,000 on the 427". I assumed he meant a stripped car meant anniversary cars, but he very well could be talking about the heritage package. Not sure why the heritage package would be a focus of conversation at an ncrs meeting when everyone is focused on limited production (78 pace car, 82 CE, 88 35th anniversary,96 GS, 03 Anniversary, 04 lehmans)

A little Corvette history: The 427 is pretty unique as the last time you had an engine option on a vert was 96 LT-4 ...... before that it was the L-82 in 1975. Over 400 ci was the 454 in 1974.

I am blown away by those numbers, but perhpas I shouldnt be. I just didnt think the anniversary striped numbers were that high. seemed like there was a good mix of those, the heritage cars ,and the plain janes like mine floating around. I stil say the orange heritage package is probably the rarest of the bunch.

After rereading this thread and all the comments, I wonder if the truth around the comment "less than 1000 427's don't have stripes" is really anniversary cars plus heritage package ... which is 40% plain janes. This leaves 60% either white/blue or some other color w/ heritage package.

Agree- Would like to see an Inferno 427.

Default Numbers are out

Found another thread (427 registery) and build numbers are out trickling out. Here is what the Thread says:

White/blue anniversary cars with stripes- 897
heritage package 691

Total 427's w/ stripes is 1588 leaving 962 w/o stripes.

of the 962 cars w/o stripes, 191 cars are white/blue without stipes.

This leaves 771 cars that have no stripes and not white/blue

also 1088 white/blue anniversary 427's making up 42.6% of the 427 run.

How can we find out how many non-stripe/non-anniversary/non-heritage RPO427's were built in each color? I'd also be curious to know the breakdown of each option distribution for the RPO427 only

Posted for those who are too lazy to click on a link.

This was posted in the '427' registery thread: http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2013/...hey-build-most

"The last 2 places go to Supersonic Blue with 2% and Inferno Orange with 1%. It should be noted that both of those colors ended the production early but the lack of sales probably had something to do with it. Neither of those 2 colors will make a return for the new 2014 Corvette Stingray."

So IF the 962 non-stripe/non-anniversary/non-heritage RPO427's were built with colors in the same proportion of all 2013 MY production, this is the approximate number of 427's in each color:
Black 202
Artic White 202
Torch Red 135
Night Race Blue 106
Crystal Red 87
Cyber Gray 87
Blade Silver 67
Velocity Yellow 39
Supersonic Blue 19
Inferno Orange 10 ......... more or less.

I hope if someone finds out the actual color distribution for 2013 RPO427's they post it here.

Default The last 427 has been built.

The VIN 2550, was the last car built. The engine by Tadge Jueachter. I got one of the last 20 made, 2519. I really love this car, and I hate being at work, where I can't drive it. It is intoxicating.

Life ain't bad sometimes.

Should we ask the moderators to add a high performance convertible sub-forum GS/427 and anything LS7 general?

I guess I shoulda read some more posts. Anyway, love my freakin car, fast, beautiful, unique among C6's. I have the ZR1 wheel and tire package. I think the handling, at higher speeds could use some sway bars. Let's go, man, more, more ,more!!!

Aren't ALL 2013 Corvettes 60th anniversary?

Didn't they call the white with center stripe a "Collector's Edition"?

Did all 2013's get the 60th Anniversary logo? I think that logo only came with the 60th Anniversary Design Package.

Cheers,
JB
