Goodbye and Thank You CF Forum
Thank you everyone for your help over te past few years. I have been a member of many car forums but this one is certainly te best. Last Friday I traded in my Corvette. Yesterday Morning I actually saw someone driving her. they got a great car, with full on COW tuning and some other goodies. I really had no intention of selling her, but life changed.
In December of last year I bought out my company, and in July a big company bought me out! I ended up buying a 2013Panamera GTS, and then a ranch. For getting to and from the Ranch I bought a 2012 Raptor. I still work for the Company and use the Porsche for business meetings. The great thing about Vettes, if you ever sell them you get a very nice residual value. Over Four years I paid approx. 10k between tires, brakes, tunes/CAI and trade differential. Very impressive resale with only 35.8k miles on the clock. I am sure I will be back in a Vette someday, likely a C7. But for now it is a 6.2L SVT pushrod, and A 4.8L DOHC German Witch. Amazingly the performance of the later when tied to AWD is unbelievably close to my Vette despite nearly double the weight. No doubt I will miss the sound of cranking the Vette up, though I can't describe the beauty of the rumble of the Porsche downshift. Thanks again to everyone, I will still come by here from time to time to check out the latest and greatest. It has been a blessed few years for me, and I can only wishthe same for the Forum and all of it's members. All the Best!
