Seems to be in line. It's an '08 so you've got the LS3 and a few other things that are new to that year. Check out Car Fax to see if there's been damage and also what warranty work/service that's been done. It's definitely not a low mileage Vette but see how close to 24K they'll go.

Too many miles for me. Id save a few more grand and find something with less miles on it if I were you.

I agree.

Also, Carfax will only reflect incidents with the car that involved Insurance companies.

So high mileage is a no with these cars? Usually I'd rather buy a well maintained car with high mileage than a low mileage car with no idea of maintenance etc

Most Corvette guys are picky. The low mileage cars will more than likely be as well if not better maintained than that high mileage car.

Nice looking car but pictures are more foregiving than an up close and personal inspection.
It you don't mind the miles it could be a good deal. Car looks to be in good shape.

And at times, an accident that does involve insurance companies will not show up on a CarFax .. I know that from a personal experiance.

What about 06 vs 08, I had been looking at them around the 50000 mile mark but happened to stumble across this 08, I'm guessing it might be better if I just go that route?

Personally, I would take an 06-07 with 40,000-45,000 fewer miles at the same price. IMO.

Me...agrees...The main difference being LS3 ('08) vs LS2 ('06-'07). The LS2 is still a great motor, and you get more options (1LT vs 3LT) for the $$...

-- Corvette is a low car... get underneath and inspect the front end... scrapes on the air dam are typical & expected, but damage to radiator supports is not good.

If possible, get it on a lift and do a thorough undercarriage inspection.

-- Look for rocker panel damage by improper jacking.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...d-rockers.html

-- Dirty clutch fluid can cause clutch malfunctions... fixed by simple fluid change... but can lead to premature wear & problems later.
http://www.rangeracceleration.com/Clutch_Care.html

-- C6 year-to-year changes
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1563694469-post5.html

-- Of course, a test drive will reveal a lot. Have you driven either of the cars you're looking at?

Enjoy your search!

That is a lot of miles for a 2008, but of course that is reflected in the low price, and a low price is a good thing. This is a bare bones, no options Vette. Some options such as a 2LT interior with optional sports seats, F55 adjustible suspension, optional NPP high performance dual Exhaust, and a transparent roof add real value. Some, like an automatic transmission, factory in-dash navagation, Bose radio, or 4LT leather interior are not "good value" options, in my opinion. I wouldn't say a low milage owner takes any better care of their car than a high mileage user, and high mileage isn't bad per se if someone can provide documentation that they followed recommended maintenance procedures. Today's cars can easily exceed 200,000 miles if maintained properly. I personally think a high mileage used car in great shape can be a great buy for someone who expects to put low mileage on their car. In that case a 2008 with higher horsepower, improved shifting, improved steering, and an improved interior might represent a better value than an earlier model without these things.

To many miles for the asking price.

The driver seat is worn at the side back rest bolster and the seat bolster looks shot to. easy fix though. For $20,000 I bite.
