Default One of the nicest things about driving a vette is..

Gettin the "wave" when you pass another vette. Never got the wave in any other car I've ever driven from a stranger. The unity is pretty cool.

Last 2 or 3 Vettes I passed I waved & got nothing in return or a dirty look.

Because you don't have gray hair and aren't wearing a visor.

Are we going to have class warfare here? I for one am in the old and grey part, but do not wear a visor. I wear a bucket hat. (by the way, if any of you know where I can get a bucket hat that says vette on it let me know) I have been waving since my first vette in 1970. I guess we just have to teach these young'ins how to be polite and respect their elders.

visor ha!

I put my entire arm out the window this morning to wave at a JSB going by on a quiet side street and he didn't even acknowledge my existence.

Nice post.

Never mind the few that don't wave as they may not even know or may have not seen you. Many on the forum are in the mindset that everyone knows about the wave, when in fact a large percentage have no idea.

Having the power/acceleration when you want/need it.

Getting lots of compliments on the looks of your car.

Getting the wave from most drivers of other Vettes.

Getting that extra attention and service from the Chevy dealer and his staff.

I find that if I wave first, I get a wave (or a flash of the headlights) in return about 90% of the time. Pretty cool. Sort of makes me feel like part of an exclusive club....

But on the days when I happen to drive my truck, It does make me say "damn, I wish I would've driven the Vette today so I could wave without looking like a moron"
