My First week with my C6. Photos and a couple of questions
Saturday marked the first week of being a new C6 owner. I put about 700 miles on it this week. 2007 3LT- Z51, Six Speed manual. It now has 7800 miles on it.
Thanks to all of the C6 owners out there. I did a lot of searches and was able to "Program" all of the things that needed to be programmed.
Here's a few shots of the new one and the 79 that I've had for 33 years. The only thing that these two cars have in common is they say Corvette on them. With any luck I'll stop tossing it from 2nd to 5th very soon.
Just a couple of quick questions:
What is this access panel for on the console? I searched high an low and didn't find anything.
There's some plastic under the passenger carpet. Does anyone know if this was put on at the factory and no one took it off??

Melting Slicks
Conrgats and enjoy, they are fantastic cars.
That console panel would have housed a control for the magnetic selective ride suspension option, which was not available with the Z51 option, so you get the blank access panel.

Thats commonly referred to as the tomb stone. GM made it interchangeable for the F55 (selective suspension cars). That way they could make one console and add or delete the switch as necessary.

Congrats on your purchase! That's a beautiful car. I have to say that because I have the same car/color/options as you. You have a nice C3 to go with it. Great pair!

The '79 & '07 have more in common than just having Corvette on them. They're both gorgeous and both unmistakably America's sports car. One just has 21st century improvements made to it. Congrats on your new car.

Both great cars in their own right. I have had every generation except the C1 and each had a place in my heart. I currently have a Monterey Red '07 3LT Z51 also, except, I decided to stop shifting and left the MN6 for the A6. I love the paddle shift.
Thanks for post and enjoy the C6.
