corvette... decisions...
hi guys, loving your forum!
i'm about to pull the trigger on a black c6 manual transmissio.
i've got 2 choiches...
1: 2007 c6 coupe, all original, full leather interiors, bixenon, bose, and borla axleback ... 45.000km for 30k€
2: 2006 c6 coupe, few mods. full leather interiors, bixenon, bose, dual filter carbon intake, supersprint exhaust, full led tail lights, laser sidemarkers, sparco steering wheel, naca vents on hood, wicker bill hood spoiler... 75.000km for 30k€
same price, same car... less miles on the first but all original
more miles on the clock and a little spiced up for the other...
can you help me in making a decision?

I'd take the lower mileage one as long as it was taken care of. Modding the car is a lot of fun, so buying what someone else has done is blah to me.

While mine is 4Lt and leather I wish it was not. Leather is glued on to dash and the glue tends to fail and leave dash a mess. The dash is unfinished under the leather as I understand it. Many have complained of problems and much ,much dollars to repair. just so you aware that sitting out in sun can cause great damage.

thank you for the heads up! i'm planning on redoing the interior with alcantara so not a biggie...
any advice on the other things?
would you guys prefere a lower mileage stock car o a modified one? i mean for the same price range

Welcome to CF. Assuming the cars are both in equal condition inside, out and under, I would go with the newer and lower mileage car. Unless you were planning to purchase the mods the car has, then they really don't add much value to you(well, they wouldn't to me).
Other things to consider:
1. how many owners has each had?
2. service history of each?
3. open recalls?
4. mechanical condition? Look at fluids to get an idea of how the cars were maintained.
I'm sure there's more but that's a start. Good luck and let us know what you go with. If you can post links, it will also help.

I Suppose up to the individual bolt on can be reversed much easier that internals. Personally I am modding mine as money allows.

original low mileage (airbus pilot... used from home to airport) : just one
modded one: two, one in eastern europe and one here in italy.
checked for carfax: higher mileage has an open recall for "assistive drive", an headlight changed for xenon malfunction and no other accidents
the lower mileage one has no carfax report available

Really comes down to condition & what you want, I look for stock when I buy, just like knowing exactly what the car is. Check the harmonic balancer for a "wobble". Some separate and need to be replaced. Good luck in your hunt.

If you believe what you read, some owners have reported that their leather dashes have become unglued. Mine hasn't. The real question is of all the similar leather dashes out there, how many have suffered the same fate? I don't think there are any stats, so there is no way to know the risk. The same is true of wobbly HBs, and cracked fuel tank fittings. I just keep a mental note of what could go wrong and what to do about it, but I don't let the fact that it could happen ruin my day.

I think its a toss up for which one to get. The 2005 has some first year issues. Do you know what option packages the cars have...1lt, 2lt or 3lt.....f55 or z51 suspension ?

I'd more more concerned about the vinyl 3lt dash melting...
