I have been to every one since the beginning and yes the traffic and vendors are down from before. I would say the peak was about five years ago. The guys above have hit the mark on reasons why except one other factor, the hard core guys that used to be in the same spot every year have gotten older and just have begun to retire. Remember Dr. Rebuild? He is a good example of a vendor that always had a big stock and he has been gone for at least two years.

I believe this started about 2 or 3 years ago when PA saw an opportunity to capitalize on this (and probably other) event(s). Recall some of the threads from some of the vendors who indicated their on-site presence at the event would not be the same as years past due to the new tax laws.

I did notice it was a bit off from past years. I found a few things I was looking for in the flee market area, but passed on a few others because the vendor was asking much more than it was worth.
It was nice to see some of the items I am looking to buy and get a hands on with them. The new product venders either did not have what I wanted with them, or the price did not motivate me to try to get it home in my already packed Vette. I was hoping to learn more about a few things but many at the show had no idea about the products they were selling. This was the single most disappointing thing I found. If you are going to set up and sell your product, have people there that know the product.

I was looking for the typical C6 add on goodies. Midamerica had no C6 stuff.. There was no WCC. There was an empty huge spot in the installatioin alley.
It seemed to me that there were also way fewer cars in the corral as well. Once you left the "big boys"area there was less for newer vettes. Just my humble opinion.

Few deals and I was disappointed as to the vendor participation. I had to hunt for floor mats and a a rear license plate frame in CG. Only found one frame and it was on display. Real trouble locating front CF chin spoiler and rear ZR1 style CF spoiler for a base C6. No more reason to go except for the company of other Corvetters. Only needed one day to see the whole thing. Waisted 2 others. Oh well!

It's the tax thing keeping them away. Can't blame them. You should try LIVING in Pa. All we do is pay taxes.

This was my first year attending so I couldnt compare it to the last couple of years. While I was able to check out all of the vendors; I really enjoyed meeting and talking to many different Corvette owners! That, and the parade were the highlights of our time there. I'm looking forward to next year!

Have to agree about the license plate frame since that was one thing I was looking for as well. Found it at RPI..........who had a HUGE tent and tons of merchandise.
I don't know how anyone does Carlisle in 1 day. I was there 3 and still didn't see everything!

Mid America didn't have any EMBROIDERED C6 mats. I asked specifically about the C6 logo mats for '08+ and was informed that there was no C6 logo'd stuff because they'd been having some issues with the GM license.
I wasn't aware of the PA tax issues affecting the vendors. That really sucks. When I saw that a vendors license was only $100, I thought about selling some carbon GS stripes next year....guess not. lol!
