Default took my GS to the 1/4 mile last night

i have a '12 grand sport with headers, CAI, and tune. I took it to zmax dragway near charlotte, nc to see what it had. it was on stock tires. i could only manage a 12.20 at 117mph =( it was really hot outside though and on street tires it was tough to get good grip. i had a 1.999 60'. it was fun though! anybody else have 1/4 mile numbers?

Nice results. A6 or M6? I have same setup in my '11 GS with an A6. ARH and an Attack Blue Filter. Tuned it with a Wideband . Calibrated the Mass Air and set the AFR.
Ask your tuner if he used a wideband. If not you will see a significant improvement with WB tune. 11's will be knocking at your door in good atmospheric conditions.
My results were 12.09 @ 117 mph and a 1.93 60' on street tires. I didnt load up converter and didnt go through the water. Just staged and left. Gonna try again soon. I want the 11 second time slip!!
Good luck and keep us posted.

Default Good Job!

Both of you guys are really doing pretty good. Both of you should take the time to post your times in the 1/4 mile Grand Sport section because the list really needs to be longer and when the weather improves you can update your times. I'm not sure (have to check) but the M6 maybe a bolt-on record for the manual transmission. Bill

EDIT: Yes you will be the fastest bolt-on GS M6 and you will also be the fastest GS bolt-on on the Fastest list for a M6 which is about 4 posts below the "List" on the first page.

I would say that is pretty impressive first time out with a M6 and stock tires, well done.

Your 60 foot time was pretty good considering you're running the stock GY runflats. I ran my 08 (all stock) MZ6 'Vert at Bristol when it was 95 degrees. My tires weren't worth a rats azz and I couldn't get better than a 2.5 second 60 foot. My best was a 13.0 at 113. I've got some new CF group purchase Bilstein shocks coming and I plan on replacing the GY's with some non-runflats (Goodrich G force Comp 2). If I can get my 60' down to what you're doing, I should be in the low 12's. When my warranty expires maybe a tune and some headers...

ps You really don't need to do a burnout with stock street tires...
