Default added the Z06 front conversion and a set of Weld wheels

I had been running the rear wide body for a while, and decided to bite the bullet and do the OEM front conversion as well. Along with the new fenders I picked up some new wheels to fit all 4 corners and hopefully help with traction as I turn things up.

I'm debating attaching the front lip or not... I actually like how it looks now.

Car looks great. I recently purchased set of Z06 wheels, considering the wide body conversion. How complicated was the swap

Not bad, there's a great DIY (http://www.myvettesite.com/files/widebodyguide.pdf)

Here it was a few days ago:

The car looks great!

Is that your Maxjax lift? How do you like it? Does your car feel really stable on it?

I have had one sitting in my garage forever and I hope to get it installed this fall.

Also who installed it?

What color is your car.. you had 2009 in your info, but it sure looks like LMB & that color was stopped in 2007 ? I could be wrong, but I'm looking at the photo in post #1 That looks a lot more like LMB than the blue that came out on 2008 ?

Whatever blue it is it looks GREAT ! Also can you please send me more Info on the exact wheels, & tires you have... they are the "BEST" set up I have seen IMO ..

I'm into drag racing, and your rear wheels look great nice big sidewalls... Do the wheels fit right on or do you need spacers, or have to do any mods... I don't want anything larger than 18" Front and 19" rear.. (prefer 18" rear also)

Thanks. you can PM or E mail me....

Yup, I like it a lot. You may need wood planks to pull up on if you're lowered, the arms don't slide under the car with the pads installed. The car feels really stable when it is at one of the 'lock bar' heights. I've been cranking on bolts and got the car rocking a bit and it never came close to shifting or anything bad. The only complaint I have is the hydraulics. They leak a bit and they don't raise 100% evenly. I've loved using it for my brakes and headers, it should really help with the motor swap and clutch replacement... I'll probably just drop the whole driveline and raise the body off it. I installed it myself.

It's a 2009 Jetstream Blue. This color is pretty interesting, just a fraction of an angle different and the color shifts quite a bit, also depends a lot on lighting and the sun was setting in these photos. Thanks

I'll just post here incase anyone else is curious. They're Weld RST wheels... 17x11 rear & 18x6 front. The rears are running M&H Racemaster 325/45-17 drag radials and the fronts are running Sumitomo HTR Z III 225/45-18 street tires. They bolt right on, no spacers.

They can do an 18" rear wheel too, I almost went with that instead of the 17".

Here's my old setup with 19" front/19" rear ZR1 wheels w/ NT05R's

Thank Youuuuuuuu.....I like your set up with the 17" rear.. I can get a better drag tire for 17" wheels & they look AWESOME on your car !!!

PS don't park it anywhere in Westchester NY... LOL

I'm sorry for being a "dork" but when you had the 17' on the rear and 18" on the front, with the tires you used did you get any DIC warning about tires size etc... I'm using 18" in the rear now with Nitto DR 315/35x18" with stock size fronts and have had no problems....

Nothing has popped up so far. I haven't driven it too far though... basically around the block to settle the suspension to check the wheel fitment, then tomorrow I'm installing my z06 inner fender liners and really taking it out for a drive.

Your car is gorgeous. More pics of the wheels please. Will the rears clear GS/ Z06 brakes?

I'm heading to a car meet/show tonight where I'll see a few of my photog friends, I'll try to get them to snap a few real pictures... my cell phone photos at the mall around the corner leave lots to be desired, lol.

This setup is an off the shelf option for the C6 Z06 from Weld, so they will fit Z06 brakes. They also have a set for the base C6 too (my order was originally z06 rear, c6 front, but then I bought my fenders and had to change them mid-build)

Here's another pic I have though:
