ZR-1 Skirt Alignment Issues
I was out in the garage and fitting my new ZR-1 side skirts and noticed that there is a noticeable gap at the the fender to the door rocker panel. It doesn't look right at all. Do i need to realign the fender or is their some trick. Looks horrible. My splitter fit perfectly no complaints

I guess I should clear some things up. They are ZR-1 skirts going on a 2010 Grand Sport. I did work from back to front like the instructions state. How does one add a photo?

Correct, attach the rear frt splash guard that comes with the skirts first then work forward when you get to the front there are 2 holes in the skirt that line up with the 2 bolts under the frame, sometimes you have to long gate the holes in the skirt for them to match up, or you could do like I did and line the frt up first and work you way back it will leave about a 1 inch gap between the skirt and the rear frt splash guard which is hardly noticeble and keeps stones and dirt from accumulating in that back corner.

When you start at the back and work forward you need to make sure you push it far enough in before screwing in. It's easier with two people. I used my low profile jack to hold it up to the body while I worked forward as I was doing alone.
Mine came with a foam piece on the body side and it filled any gap nicely and stops stones accumulatating in there too

When I push the skirt all the way in the holes are off by about 3/8. One side looks right, the one with the gap and the other side looks odd. Never really looked at how they are installed on a factorry ZR-1. I will be going to the Alms race and Corvette World Tribute this weekend so I will take a lok.

My Cianci fiberglass skirts have a gap near the front of the door where they transition from the rocker panel to the fender. I had to drill new holes in the front to get the skirts lined up with the two bolts under the fender. If you have factory sideskirts there is a TSB out on them about adding double sided tape behind the vertical piece in front of the rear wheel. Seems like a lot of stones were getting in there and the double sided tape is added to keep them out.

No, what your post inferred was that by adding a hyphen, he lacked the knowledge that any "Corvette enthusiast" should have as a member of this board......pretentious.
