upgrading '06 A6 transmission/bose system
Does anyone know what was done to the 2007 A6 transmission that hardened the shifts compared to the 2006? I have an '06 and would be very interested in performing this upgrade if it is plausible. I am going to buy a diablosport handheld tuner. Can I tune the transmission with the tuner? I'd very much like to harden up my sloppy shifts! I as well read that the 2007 bose was upgraded from the 2006. Does anyone know what was upgraded with the sound system? I have the premium bose, and I am not very pleased with it. Now, if the speakers are the same, and they upgraded the built in amp, I would love to replace that amp with the 2007! Thanks in advance for any info guys =)

Keep in mind that GM did a lot of durability testing on the A6 and has purposely set the shifts a bit "soft" for long life. A tuner will make his best estimate of how his tune may change the situation, but he doesn't have the resources to test like GM.
The quicker shifts on the newer versions of the A6 may have come with some small but important beefups in the parts and programs, or not.
Bottom line-
A trans tune will increase your fun, but may also increase your expenses.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.
