Took a Few Photos Yesterday
As the title implies I went out and took a few photo's of my '07 Monterey Red coupe yesterday. My daughter is have a baby and there was a baby shower at our house so I beat a hasty retreat. Thought it might be a good time to do a little picture taking.

That was my second color choice on my Inferno Orange 2012 GS, but know I think they call it Red Jewel Metallic. Reminds me of the good old days when it was called Candy Apple Red.

In 2008, they stopped the Monterey Red and went to Crystal Red, which is paint code 89 and it is a little lighter then the Monterey Red.

Very good pics, its a beautiful car. I had to check your location, because the areas looked very familiar for the location of the photos.
I've taken similar ones of mine in the Daytona Beach area.

The garage picture are at the Pinellas Count Courthouse in downtown Clearwater and the bridge is the one that links the mainland to Clearwater Beach.

I love the color. I had an '01 Torch Red. This one is a dead on match with the wife's GMC Acadia even the interior. When you drive by the house and the garage door is open it almost looks like we planned it that way.

You are correct, if you are buying another GM car, such as my wife's GMC Acadia or a friend of mine's Impala, but if you get a 2007 Corvette it is called Monterey Red. The is no paint in the Corvette line called Jewel Red, although they are both paint code 80U.

Just bought the same car in a vert. Fell in love with the color the moment I saw it in person.

Actually, the actual paint name of the color of your car is Red Jewel Metallic. This is what you will find when you purchase GM touch up paint and it is how the color was described in the factory. Monterey Red is the marketing name. Similar to Machine Silver (Light Tarnished Silver Metallic), LeMans Blue (Luxor Blue Metallic), Precision Red (Cobalt Red), Crystal Red (Crystal Claret) as a few other examples of paint names vs. marketing names.
Great photos by the way.
