Default Track Day in the rain!

I had a track day at Waterford Hils road course yesterday. the started with rain, but it got better.
Callaway had a test car there that had 128,000 miles on it and this is what we found in the grill.

Here's an article from Vette magizine about the car.

Yes that is a frog that committed suicide in the grill.

I'll post some youtube videos when they finish. Thanks again to Cauley Performance and Dany Kellermyer. And the corner workers of Waterford Hills.

A real frog choker. You ought to send that photo to Jalopnik. I grew-up near you and I used to go with neighbor friends to the Waterford track when they ran their vintage Grand Prix (open-wheel) race cars.

It can get tricky in the rain... specially when it's just enough to keep the track wet.

Nothing wrong with a little slide here and there. Need to find the limits.

More fun when it's pouring and the wipers are going like crazy.

Well after 2 washes, polishing the exhaust tips, then Rim Wax on the tips and rims, wax with Adams Buttery wax, 5 hours latter she looks almost new again. I did find one small paint chip from the track day. Can't wait till next time and I don't care if it rains!

Looks like you had fun Jimmy. If you're looking for another day at Waterford, my group will be there next Monday. If you want to come to Grattan, we'll be there next month and then MidOhio in October. Unfortunately my car is in the shop for a trans rebuild so I won't be at Waterford but as long as the car gets done on time I should be able to make it to Grattan on Sept 8-9.
