Possible Odometer Rollback? Possible Mileage Clipped? VIN# 1G1YY26E275107972
Do you guys thinks something is fishy about this one?
It's a 2007 Atomic Orange Corvette Z06 - VIN# 1G1YY26E275107972 advertised with 16,723 Miles.
The Carfax Report and Auto Check History look very odd so think the miles were rolled back on this one via new cluster.
Also, the engine was replaced to guess run as far away from this one as possible I guess!
2007 Atomic Orange Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Internet Price $49,995

Interior: Ebony
Engine: 7.0L (427 CI) LS7 V8 SFI
VIN #: 1G1YY26E275107972

Could those 18000 mile readings have been an error? The perfectly even 18000 mileage seems to be suspect, more like an estimate. Why would you roll back only 1300 miles, especially on a car with only 18,000 miles?

Based on Carfax Report,
In December 2007 the mileage is 15,670 miles.
But then in July 2012 it's only 16,200 miles.
Just doesn't add up...

I bought my 2006 with only 15,000 miles so a low mileage vette is possible. Would anyone turn back the odo for 1700 miles, I doubt it. The 18,000 was probably just an estimate and not really actual. If the brake rotors, pads, interior and pedals look like they belong on a low mile car than they probably are. How much more would this car be worth with 1700 miles less? Not much if any. Good luck but check it out with a mechanic. BTW my coupe has been flawless and I have put 45,000 miles on it. Also, being an IL. car means it would sit for the winter and not move for 5-6 months.

Your out of your mind to even consider this car. The cars was averaging 1k miles a month since new. Then after its sold 4 years later there are only around 2,400k put on in that time frame. RUN!!!!!!

The engine was replaced at 2,567 miles. I do not see any mileage discrepancies based on warranty history. The last warranty repair was March 2008 at 15,741 miles.
Auctions are notorious for reporting incorrect mileage.

Mileage could be an error but replacing an engine would make this a low dollar car. And 50K for any 2007 is certainly not low dollar. That's highway robbery for even a "new" 2007 Z06.

Most of the cars on autotrader tend to be way overpriced and this one is typical of them. They own KBB and it appears that they use the asking prices on their autotrader site for the car values on KBB.
I have averaged buying a vette every two years over the last 50 years and today I never even bother to look anymore on the autotrader and cars.com websites, both have way overpriced cars. I have found every one I have bought in the last few years on craigslist within 10 miles of my home. Very nice mint condition, low mile original owner cars at Edmunds.com trade in value.
