I know. The car was actually dealer traded and the other dealer was the one that already had put on the front plate. It was a rather hard to find model and the holes are not very obvious. Now if it was my Z06, I'd really be mad!

Sounds like there's no shortage of stupidity at Mercedes dealerships either.

When you're selling "high end" cars, you don't do stuff like that.

to the OP....very nice job on that repair. I had a VY vert as well and I know about color matching those things. Great ride you have there and enjoy the hell out of it.

You may be correct.

I've heard of that process for bonding/repairing body panels, but have never seen it done.

My '06 3LT vert came with the same bracket but it was thrown in the trunk, never mounted. The bracket has sticky pads on the back and probably doesn't need the screw holes anyway!
