Default Another forum member's car came to visit mine today

Well.....actually forum member williammease had a tire pressure sensor acting up and came by to pick up a spare I had. We programmed it into his car - but it's not mounted in the wheel yet. But, when he does get it mounted it will already be programmed in!!

Our cars had a nice visit, and I think Bill enjoyed driving the ZR1!!

Bob

Hey Bob, those rides look great neighbors must be a little jealous.

I know it might be a little early but I didn't want to get shut out, I secured my reservation for this years turkey run. I was their last year for my first one at what an off the chain time it was. To see these 6,7,8 second cars with wheelie bars & parachutes cruising up & down the blvd is just insane. Since you live there I would guess that you'll be attending?

Yes - we should be in town. For a number of years we've been having several friends from Miami visit for Thanksgiving and the Turkey Rod Run.

My wife does all the T-day food prep and keeps threatening that we're going to go visit somebody else so they can do all the work - so one of these years she'll get real serious about it and we won't be here!!

But - check with me closer to the event and we'll plan to get together when you're here.

For those that don't know what we're talking about, thousands and THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of cars are in Daytona at Thanksgiving time:

Here's a link - if you're in the area you really should check it out!!!

Great photo set. I've never seen a ZR1 and Base parked side-by-side for comparison. A novice wouldn't know that there was a zillion dollar price difference between the two cars. Must have been a thrill for your friend to drive the ZR1.

I know that place and ZR1 well.
I love the Rod run and never miss it. Nothing like it anywhere. I'll certainly be there this year in the War Machine.

No problem Bob I will keep your forum name and write you a week before i head up there.
Last year I walked around for many hours for 3 days and only was able to see 25% of all the cars there. It's actually overkill on steroids.

Default ZR1 driving recipient responds

I'm the lucky recipient of the ZR1 driving experience. Unbelievable!!! I don't trust anyone to drive my base 2007 vette so being offered the opportunity to drive the ZR1 (I never asked or implied) was a dream come true. That muscular ZR1 sitting next to my stock 2007 makes it look wimpy! All of this got started over a wheel sensor that was malfunctioning on my 2007.

Bob and Linda are very special, generous, trusting people.

Thanks again,

Bill
