C6 price drop due to C7????

Will be interesting to see what actually happens when the cars hit the showroom.
I'm going to wait until the late fall at the latest to pick up an '08+ C6 no matter what - unless I can find a black or white A6 around $28K in the US, or a $32K up here in Canada with relatively low miles... and grated I've managed to sell my current car

If I can buy a brand new 1lt for 39k, how is a 2008 or 9 1lt worth 31 or 32k?

it's gonna happen. it's happening. nothing we can do.

C6s will depreciate as they have always done... after the C7s debut and finally available at dealerships. But not any more because of the C7s. Hell, enjoy the cars for what they offer for the dollar and not worry about it. You'll never, repeat, never... be able to stay ahead or even for that matter on any late model vette...

I was gonna wait, but I think if I buy while it's still cold I may be able to get what I want at a reasonable price, otherwise I'm thinking I'll put a junker 84 in my name and pick up a new 2013 base with the loyalty discount. Since a lot of sellers seem to think their base models are worth only a couple grand less than a new one.

I'm considering selling mine now before the C7 release drop. I have a 2006 Z51 C6 and I still see them selling for $30k (what I paid for it). I will downgrade for a couple years and pick up a C7 in 2017 or 2018 likely.
City driving in a C6 just isn't that fun for me right now. But I'll move in 1-2 years.

I saw a 2010 1 owner clean carfax 3lt grands sport sell for 33K last week. It did have 45k miles on it, but I thought, damn the market must be falling. The dealer had offered him $32,100 in trade. The car looked really good in pictures but who knows.

There were 'only' a few cars posted for sale in these classifieds or local craig's list, every week or so....
Up until about 2 weeks ago: there are suddenly a lot more c6 cars on the market
It'll take a few months of 'no sale' until the price starts to drop, but it's inevitable
The more people see the new ones driving around, the older ones will become available
Supply, demand...and price drop

You see them selling or you see people asking? Because 2008s are 30k and less around here.
