Calling all Narrow-Body Vette Owners
Look, don't get me wrong - I get that some owners want to modify their cars to ZO6 and GS proportions and to those I say - go for it!
But I have a 2005 Coupe and love the original lines of the (now) narrow body version of the C6.
Anyone else agree?

I love the lines of the narrow body Vette but really love what is under the hood in the Z06.

For those of us who didn't buy a wide booty, we can afford to buy an aftermarket kit that's wider and different from Z06/GS/ZR1. That is my angle ( if my wife let's me).

100 percent. Get what you want and want what you got. That is happiness.

There are certain angles that I prefer the look of the narrow body but agree that the more aggressive nature of the widebody is appealing. The 'brake duct' area behind the doors being so prone to chipping is a downside to the widebody, but nothing that 3M clear film can't deal with. I've owned my '05 since new and won't spend the $ to upgrade models within the generation so I'll keep it and buy a C7 as well. The aftermarket wide body mod is not something I considered-never get your investment back. If spending that much I would do it for additional HP, not cosmetics.

I love both models, and generally think all C6's look great. The narrow body has a classic, sexy shape that will never grow old. It doesnt have overly muscular lines & bulges. That said, I have no problem admitting the widebody does look & perform better. And it should, because it costs more.
When I went shopping, I knew two things: 1) I wanted a Corvette. 2) My budget was $30K. It didnt have to be the fastest, the most expensive, the widest or the newest Corvette. But it did have to be a C6. The 2007 I purchased does every single thing I expected it would and so much more. Its wonderful to drive, it has more performance than I have driving skill and I get a TON of compliments on it. Happiness is getting what you want. Satisfaction is enjoying what you already have.
The quicker you can figure that out. The less stress & debt you will end up with.. from trying to keep up with the Jones'es. Even if you bought a top of line ZR1 today.. tomorrow there would still be something faster & better looking. The key is to get what you really want and enjoy having it. Eventually you have to be satisfied with something, or you will never truly enjoy anything.

"In honor of jpee"
narrow body? I just went out and looked at my car. it doesn't look narrow to me. narrow is one of those smart car thangs.
maybe there is a wide body look, or car. but I'd call mine the regular Corvette. looks fine to me, as do the other models which are bigger.
