I love my narrow body. But I do prefer the widebody look. But not enough to sell mine and buy one or to add WB panels to mine. Sometimes I find myself thinking of going widebody but shortly after I realize how awesome my millennium yellow 05' is and those thoughts go right out of my head.

The Vette looks beautiful in any iteration. I personally think the wide body is a more racecar look and I really enjoy its standard Coupe body. If I could have afforded a GS, would I have bought it? Perhaps, but probably not. I was stoked that I found mine and I don't need anymore than the AW Coupe 1LT A6 with both roofs that I got ... everything I wanted, nothing excessive that I'd never use.

As much as I like the look and motor of the Z06, I realy prefer the clean lines of my 08 black coupe. I think the norrow body look will hold up better over time.

very well said
I love both models, and generally think all C6's look great. The narrow body has a classic, sexy shape that will never grow old. It doesnt have overly muscular lines & bulges. That said, I have no problem admitting the widebody does look & perform better. And it should, because it costs more.
When I went shopping, I knew two things: 1) I wanted a Corvette. 2) My budget was $30K. It didnt have to be the fastest, the most expensive, the widest or the newest Corvette. But it did have to be a C6. The 2007 I purchased does every single thing I expected it would and so much more. Its wonderful to drive, it has more performance than I have driving skill and I get a TON of compliments on it. Happiness is getting what you want. Satisfaction is enjoying what you already have.
The quicker you can figure that out. The less stress & debt you will end up with.. from trying to keep up with the Jones'es. Even if you bought a top of line ZR1 today.. tomorrow there would still be something faster & better looking. The key is to get what you really want and enjoy having it. Eventually you have to be satisfied with something, or you will never truly enjoy anything.

I prefer the standard look.
The only thing I like on the widebodies that doesn't package without wheel spacers is the larger brake package.
Everything else you can put in with little modification (the LS7 fits in if you convert it to a wet-sump).
In if I could get a narrow body with the larger brakes and an LS7 I'd be set.

All the justifications for the narrow body are hilarious in this thread. The Z06/ZR1 are the models that will be sought after in years to come, wide body and all.

I looked and drove both wide and narrow. The wide body looked like a track bred car and I knew mine would never see a track. The narrow looked to be a fun roadster and did everthing I needed the car to do. Went with narrow.

Love my narrow body because you can't get a widebody LMB that you can pop the roof off. That said, I will add a 427 convertible to the garage one of these days. I love them both.
If you've been behind a narrow body or near one that was in motion, the car is actually still pretty damned wide.
