How much to install a black painted Halo?
Thinking about replacing my VY halo with a black painted halo.
I could probably do it but would prefer to find a pro that could handle the swap. Reckon how much is a fair price and where in the heck I can find someone to do this type work who can handle it without a snag?
I think i want to keep the VY halo....and just pay extra for a replacement painted halo...

R&R of the halo is super easy. No reason to pay someone else to do it.

Had mine painted I don't plan on going back to a white halo. If I ever sell my car the new buyer will have to love the black halo or have it painted back to white.....either way not that big of deal. That way I don't have a halo sitting around waiting to get scratched by me moving things around it.

Ya black halo looks really nice. I was just thinking it would be easier to get the wrap in the tight places with the halo off the car.

OP do it yourself . it's very easy and straight fwd. Will probably take you an hour tops. Very easy proces. I can probably do it inabout 15 only because I've had to do it about that many.

I too had reservations on doing it myself. I printed the instructions referred to above, and yes, it is SUPER easy!
And I too thought of having it wrapped, but the few vinyl shops I talked to wanted BIG bucks. CRAZY BIG bucks. Got a black one from Dino's Salvage (Mississippi ?) shipped to me. One very small imperfection only I can notice. So I have my original white one, and now a black one. Go for it. I love the look!

This is exactly right. Plus gloss black paint can quickly become an eyesore unless you know how to take care of it with polishing and waxing. I would never want to do something like that when I could just have it wrapped for half the price and when I get sick of it or if it starts to look like crap, then just pull it off. Done, but its your car. You could even plastidip it to see what it would look like and if you would want it for ever.
