Default A nice thing happened today

I went to a new restaurant for lunch today. I parallel parked right in front of the restaurant so I could keep an eye on the car. Four guys walk up and check out the car. They come in to order and then go back outside and check out the car again. One guy takes several photos with his cell phone. He then comes back inside and asked me if that was my Corvette. Not sure why he asked me of all the people in the restaurant? He says that it is a beautiful car. I thanked him for the comment.

It just makes you feel good to get a compliment like that.

Your right, it does make you feel good. I get compliments all the time driving down the Las Vegas strip. I can't hear them but I see them. There are literally thousands of people walking down the sidewalks here and lots of them point and stare and even take pictures of the car.

Yes, it is a wonderful comment, but anyone who can take of their car the way you do, deserves it.

They probably picked you out of the crowd as the owner because you were the only one in the place watching out the window so you could "keep an eye on the car". Nobody else was probably paying any attention.

Makes you feel good though, huh?

Congratulations!

Yep, your car is SERIOUSLY clean. I couldn't help but notice the barrels looking as clean as the spokes. What do you use on your tires to get/keep them so black?

Heh, I noticed those shiny barrels but was too jealous to comment. Beautifully detailed car, my man.

I use Mother's Tire Shine on the sidewalls, after cleaning the tires. To clean the inside of the rims, I use a soft wheel brush from Griot's Garage, along with Meguiars NXT car wash soap. The brush with is long enough for the wide rims on the rear, and narrow enough to fit between the rim and and caliper on the front wheels.

It's happened to me, usually families with kids. It always nice to hear.

Sometimes I actually feel a bit awkward, not sure why.

By the way, I am sure your car detailed to the 9s helps!!

Now that's funny -- and probably with a touch of truth.

That is an absolutely gorgeous car. Beautifully detailed. Great angle on the pic.
