Default Who still has their original Corvette?

How many still have your original Corvette? No matter if you kept it stock or modified, or even bought another to keep the original company. It would be interesting to know what you still have and why you've been happy enough to have kept it.

I have my '07 Velocity Yellow Z51 and have had it since I bought it new, going on 5 1/2 years now. Into the extended warranty period now but I'll either supercharge, wheels/tires, etc. it or just wait for the C7 to finally make it's debut. Even at that, I'd wait for the 2nd or 3rd gen. At any rate, to me at this point, it's worth keeping. Especially in lieu of what I'd get selling or trading.

Just like to know what everyone still has.

My original Corvette was a '67 Vert that I bought in the spring of 1967. It got stolen in the summer of 1969, so I don't still have my original Corvette.

Man, that's too bad Jim. Don't know if I would have recovered from that one.

The first Corvette that I bought new was my 1980, which I still have.

However I had a 1967, before it which I had bought used.

My first was the 2005 I'm driving now. Don't really plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. Been real happy with it.

My first Vette was an '02 Coupe. I sold it to a gentleman that was in the same Corvette club I belonged to. I still see a picture of it when I go onto that club's website and until I bought my C6 a couple of months ago, I'd get a little sick feeling inside every time I'd look at it.

My first Corvette was a 1961 that I bought in 1967. I sold it in 1985. A couple years later someone from San Francisco call me asking about the history of the car. He had recently bought the car and found an old registration in the car with my name and address on it.

My second Corvette was a 1977 that I bought in 1979 and sold to my brother-in law in 2002. He still has the car.

I guess I keep my cars for a while.

My first Corvette is sitting in the garage next to my '08. It is an '00 Vert I ordered in July, 1999. Took until December to recieve it. Long wait I must say. It is my garage KING. I seldom use it. Drive the '08 much more but I still love the 2000.

first one is long gone, a '66. it was time, in my mind. the c6 is still here because it's a great car, runs welll, looks good (to me), and I can't afford to get another one.

in case the c7 looks great, it'll be a tuff pull not to react and try to pull the trigger, but after waiting until the fourth model year of the c6 generation, I know I did the right thing (for me).

My first Corvette, the car I had been wanting for all of my (then 33 years) life, a 1985 Bright Red over Saddle coupe with 4 speed manual and the automatic overdrive via button on top of the shifter was traded in by me in 1990 after 65,000 daily use (only vehicle) miles. It was built per my order (as opposed to taking something off the lot) and, quite unfortunately, was a lemon. I do not miss it in the least. The two Corvettes since, a 2007 and currently 2011, were new (well the 2011 was "used" with 5 (five) miles on it) off the lot and have performed flawlessly. Go figure.

This is probably an inane answer, but, yes, I still have my original Corvette. It is a '12 CGM GS that I bought in 12/11.

I know the question wasn't intended for guys like me....sorry.
