How much track time does your Corvette see?

I bought my GS as an upgrade to the Mustang I had built up for the track. GS is a great track car. I think it needs to be tweaked a bit, and the driver has to get used to it to get the most out of it.
Next vette is either a ZR1 or C7.

Thanks for the bad news.. lol.
I've talked to a few track guys and for what I'd be doing (Trackdays & HPDE) they all said I'd be fine on max performance street rubber & better pads. Also said I didnt need any dedicated race tires & brake equipment for those kinda events. And that I wouldnt need a truck/trailer/tow anything to the track. Just bring the car, helmet and plenty of extra fluids (brake fluid being the one you will have to replace most).
Was told to expect about $300-400 per day.. depending on fees. And would have no problem driving the car to & from the track. Enjoying the A/C and 30mpg Definitely cheaper, easier & safer than what I did in the bike world for so many years. Am I missing something?

My Corvette is a cruiser.
I bought my GTO to beat on. It goes to the track (twice so far, with one more on the schedule already and more to be planned).
If I WAS to track a Corvette I'd buy a used C5.

I can't say that I bought it primarily as a track car but over the years my 2005 has evolved into one. I don't drive it on the street anymore...I pull it on a trailer. Except for a couple months during the hot summer I track my Corvette about 2 weekends a month all year long. I run with NASA, Proautosports and Arizona Corvette Racing (a dedicated group of serious Corvette racers). Both the car and I are works-in-progress. I'm not the fastest Corvette on the track and I’m not the slowest. I've been a little hesitant to gut the car (to reduce weight) but to be even more competitive that's not far off. The car runs great, it's been reliable and I have a blast with it!

Have competed regularly in our regional autocross events since new. Have done a few HPDE's and will even throw in a 1/4 mile event this year. I bought the car to do it all.

Just asking how much track time, is too ambiguous.
My actual track time, assuming you mean only the time that's being recorded, has progressed from about 12.5 seconds to the now 11.0 second range per 1/4 mi. Since I've done that about 300 times in 4 years, you could say it's been WOT for 75 miles and 60 minutes total. If your question means total hours spent AT the track, then it averages about 1 hour per 1/4 mile pass.
I also have many many more WOT events than just at the dragstrip, which do not necessarily exceed the speed limit.
However, if you are only considering a closed loop course as track time and mountain twisties are not included, then I have none. I don't record smiles, only miles, and I have a lot of both.

What part of upstate, NY. Theres Monticello and I believe another track in the New England area. Theres also another popular one in Canada. I cant imagine you are anymore than 2-3 hours from one. Not necessarily convenient, but not that big of issue either.

Purposely got a convertible so it wouldn't become (another) track car, otherwise I'd be too tempted. Been to the drag strip, and will probably hit an autocross.
Current track car is a 4th-gen f-body, that is slightly quicker than my C6 except for braking.

I voted "I want to use my Corvette on the track some day". Like the post above, I would like to get some proper instruction and give it a try. If it's addictive, that's OK!
