Corvette Interior Not That Bad

Just got back from a 450 mi trip in the Mo. Ozarks. My 05 C-6 has the most comfortable seats I have ever had in any vehicle! My wife loves the seats (she can hardly stay awake) , when we stop for a pit stop, we both noticed when we get out we were not stiff like we have been in most cars. I've had many types of vehicles, including Buicks to SUV's, and I'm very impressed with the 'Vette seats. The lumbar support is fantastic! Maybe they are not the best for all-out racing, but for everyday driving they are superb.
Those who drive faster than the average won't find the seats supportive enough and those who drive 15000 miles a year will find materials wear faster than in other cars in the price range.
As far as those who say they don't care about the quality of materials, make the car a better performer, how much more performance do you need in a street car?
Perhaps its time to put the horsepower bragging rights aside and spend $150 on upgrading the interior and cabin tech.

The stock interior can use major enhancments but luckily we have vendors that make incredible high quality leather goods as noted. What bothers me most are things like the ashtray and nav and some other cheap looking vinyl/plastic bezels. The C6 has improved over the years but is still way behind. My 2012 4LT has nicer seats, a leather cushioned center console lid and armrests on the door. Even the Steering wheel was enhanced a bit. The shifter and ebrake boots are leather now also but not sure if that's a 4LT feature or standard across all trims. I remember the vinyl one's in my 07 coupe that were just terrible looking.

Appropriate for a reasonably priced, world class performing, drop dead gorgeous, American icon sports car! It ain't your Daddy's Buick we are talkin' about!

Sorry, I've driven a new S4 & new S5 current gen. Interior is a lot nicer than my Vette. I didn't buy the Vette for a great interior, though. However, if I wanted a nice daily, it would not be a Vette. Vette is my toy.

The C6 is my 15th Corvette. I have owned at least one of each generation except the C5. I think the C6 has the best interior(including the seats) of them all. It makes no sense to compare them to other sports cars costing over twice as much, or cars that are more of a touring sedan than a sports car no matter what the price. I would be embarrased to spend my money on something and then whine and nitpick it to death like some of our members do. Why would anyone buy something they don't like and then whine about it on a public forum? I doubt that anyone on here was forced to buy one.

My Wife and I love our 2011 GS 3 LT. Rather compromise a little on interior for performance. Just got back, 10 days to Northern CA coast. 3500 Miles total. Excellant riding car!! Grant.

The interior in my DD 2008 3LT coupe looks a little cheap, at least after I have driven my 2009 4LT vert for a while. But I find both of them comfortable and user friendly (except for the factory NAV in the vert). My tastes may not be "refined" to a great (or any) degree, but I find most of the Japanese interiors too "fiddly" (especially Honda/Acura) and the German interiors to be too sterile. To each, his/her own of course, but there isn't a lot I'd change inside the C6. Hopefully, the C7 won't end up emulating the Japanese & German cars and end up with a sterile-but-fiddly interior......

C6 interior aint that bad. But Im not going to pretend that its that great either. I've sat in a newer Lexus & Audi and in no way/shape/form does the C6 interior OR navigation system compare with what comes in those vehicles. Upping for the 4LT option on the C6 definitely helps even things, but even with the 4LT trim theres a reason why plenty of people pay big money to DSV and others for upgraded aftermarket interior goodies. And beyond all of that the seats still suck.
That said its a sports car. And a helluva one at that. Its loud, goes very fast & women love it!! So that covers about everything I was looking for. Not to mention a woman's opinion is the only one that would even matter besides mine, because I paid for it. And if a certain woman is complaining about the interior of my Vette, then its of little concern to me. Because that means I've already gotten her inside my car!

I don't have a problem with the interior at all! These are the best built/quality Vettes to date. I've purchased three of em since 2009...
I believe the rags complain about the C6 interior b/c it is the only ***** in its armour. In comparing the C6 to cars that cost twice as much, these expensive competitors do indeed have higher grade materials used in their interiors, but you pay dearly for the upgraded materials. Everything else about the C6 is superior to its competitors. Yes, I drink/like the C6 Kool Aid but it is a fact...
I've owned several foreign and domestic competitors, but I ended up purchasing three C6s. This has got to account for something, eh? Eye of the beholder?
Cheers,

If I would have never heard anything bad about our interiors, I would have never given it a second thought. As a matter of fact, I like it.
Quit your complaining or buy a Buick....

I'm pretty pleased w/ the interior of my 2012 GS lt3. Chevy has much improved their interiors in the last 5 years or so. Could it be better? Yes. Should it be? I would say yes.
It's not in the same league as the last two Lexus' we've owned. They also both cost less than the GS. It is better than my 2010 Camaro SS though.

2010 4LT - Interior Nice Except Seats
Unfortunately, the nice leather with the 4LT makes the seat surfaces look even cheaper - how much more could good leather costs? I find the seats comfortable - they just look cheap and are wearing poorly.
My 2008 CTS drivers seat is also wearing very poorly. My son has my old 2002 Cadillac Deville with 150,000 miles on it and the seats still look great. The Deville even had a leather tag with the name of some company in Ontario who made the seats. I had a 1993 Lincoln Town Car and after 160,000 miles the seats looked brand new. These cars had a hell of a lot more leather and they were less expensive than Corvettes at the time. I just can not believe we are talking about more than another $100 for nice leather on the seats.
