Advice on Traveling to New York City
I live in New Hampshire and have a 2012 Grand Sport convertible and need to travel to New York to have my A6 tuned by Chuck Cow and my wife needs to visit the Philippines Embassy to get her Passport updated.
Should I try to find a place to leave the Vette by Chucks place and take public transportation in? Should I try and park in the City? Does Anyone have advice on a reasonable priced place to stay and things that should be seen on a visit to NYC?
I have worked in Manhatten 5 or 6 times but never did the tourist things while there.

Chucks shop is about a mile from the Croton-Harmon Metro North station. Take that into Grand Central, it's a nice ride and view along the Hudson, and will save you time and headache of traffic and parking.

we can transport you to the train which is only 1 minute away and send you off to the city.
When you return, we'll pick you up and bring you back to our shop.
No problem at all.

Drop car off; take train in
Spend day doing above post....
Lots of chains have 'boutique hotels" that are like W style hotel for half (Sheraton, Hilton, Marriott, Holiday Inn) in soho, tribeca, etc (search major chains near zip 10012)
Any other hotel near Times Sq or Mid Town will rip u off: ~$500/night

Hop-On Hop-Off city bus tours works best. North of Times Square or south of Times Square. North and south takes about 48 hours. Too much to see so do some planning on what you'd prefer to see. Subway quickest to move around. Enjoy.

The Millenium Broadway Hotel has a great location (just off Times Square) and had reasonable rates (via Expedia I think) last time we were there. Tickets for shows can be purchased same day via the TKTS booth - be sure to check the time they open and line up early.
Just off time square, if you like Italian, Carmine's is a prototypical Italian restaurant. Huge portions, good simple dishes, good atmosphere. Although we tend to look for newer, edgeier restaurants, sometimes it's really nice to go old school.

I used to live in Croton-on-Hudson just above Ossining, man, it's a great train ride to and from the City. Be sure to go to Bleeker Street, all the bars, eats and music you'd need ...
