You haven't lived until you pull an enclosed car trailer through the streets of NYC. Took my daughters old show car to Madison Square Garden and had a great time. Nice place to visit but way to stressful for me.

I'd give up time with my Vette to see more Yankee games in person. A bit tough to do from Seattle....

I cannot comprehend why anyone would risk their life living in NYC. It's a virtual police state where all the law abiding have to be defenseless while the criminals run wild. Now they want to ban large soft drinks. I "had to" visit NYC over a dozen times during my business career. Hated every single visit. One good thing about it is that it's 3000miles from where I live. Problem is that the financial corruption and manipulation that occurs in NYC screws up all our lives in the entire nation. period.

And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys said were up in no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said youre moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air

our pres messed this country up by making it too easy for the underpriviledged to take advantage of free money that you and i pay for. amen to that.

Lived in New York all my life, Staten Island for 40 of those years. Worked in Manhattan for 25 years.

As for Manhattan, I couldn't think of a worse type of place to live and be into cars. Actually couldn't imagine of a worse place to live period.

Hope you get a chance to discover the outer boroughs.

Just letting you guys know that I was born and lived in Westchester NY (Scarsdale) my entire life - 26 years. I've been working in Manhattan for 5 years now since college. I decided to move out to try out NYC, have fun with friends, and make my commute to work easier. All I was getting at is I miss not having my vette, and wish I could have it with me. My house is literally a 20-25 min train or car ride home. It's just different not being able to go down to the garage at night to get my car...

Well, just do a search on his prior posts. You will see many more idiotic statements. I am sure that NYC/New Yorkers will be diminished by his absence.

You have no idea what touristy is. I've worked in NYC and was there on 9/11 and yes, you can see a lot of obvious out-of-towners. But right now I'm living in a town with a permanent population of about 10,000 in the last census yet last month we had about 250,000 people staying in town. That would be like having another 200 million added to NYC for the weekend. We've been as high as 500,000 for some holidays.

I love NYC as a tourist. I would NEVER want to live there. I LOVE the Gulf Coast as a tourist and LOVE to live here even more. And I get to drive my C6 every day of the year as long as I stay off the main roads that the tourists use. You'd think some of those people never saw sugar white sand and an ocean before. Surely they aren't looking at the bikinis.

If you're getting along fine without the car and saving money in the process no problem. Consider the Corvette a toy and drive it when you visit the folks. It'll be a good reason to visit your parents more often. My 19 year old daughter moved to a big city (not NYC) and she just left the car I bought her home. I couldn't imagine being 19 without wheels but evidently she's getting along fine without it. It works for me....my insurance rates dropped significantly and I gained a fuel efficient economy car to run around in.
