Locked In...Really
Ok...I didn't know this could happen but it really did. I open the door get in and close it....I go to start the car and get "click click click"...mmm...so I try it again "click click click". Well it seems the battery is dead...now the fun begins. Doors won't open and windows won't go down...and it's 95 degrees in Vegas. Trying not to panick I realized that I had to open the hatch and climb out the back...sure after I got out I see the door release in the trunk area...but I couldn't have seen it in the dark. Did I miss something...I can't believe that you could literally be locked in and not be able to get out without climbing into the rear. I even went so far as to put my fob in the glove compartment which didn't do a thing!! Somebody please tell me there's was an easier way... I'm just thinking of the laughs someone had as I climbed out the back... Anyway changed out the battery and all is well...

Did you not consider using the mechanical emergency door release just by your left foot at the base of your seat?

There should be a door release lever on the left side of the driver's seat (also one on the right side of the passenger's seat) Just lift it and the door will open. I know that panic feeling as it has happened to me.

OP is trying to return to non-blushing color before posting back his thanks and gratitude for all of the prompt responses he received helping him out of an emergency escape from the car.

All you had to do was reach down on the left hand side of the driver's seat and pull on the handle. It will open the door for you.......

Me, I will use the handle, but it's not for everyone.
