Default Side Molding or no?

I have that usual fear of getting my pretty new Redhot dinged by some inconsiderate jerk parking next to me.
Therefore, should I get the molding strip to stick on or not.
I just dont know if it would spoil the look.
It would definetly be the same paint color and my former blue one had it.
Have any of you had them put on?
Your answers would be welcome.

I don't think so... Besides the way it looks the car is not metal and won't ding. May scuff the paint...

I say no. I'd go with a possible small paint scuff that no one but me notices instead of a giant piece of plastic permanently hanging off the side of my car that everyone notices...

I had 4 C5s and all but one had the side molding already on it. I took it off every one so I guess I'm biased

Just say not only no, but hell no!

I took them off the C5 I had and would never consider putting them on my C6.

C6 doesn't need them.

I have seen hundreds of C6 vettes over the years. That is the first one I have ever seen with a body side molding.

That has got to be rare.

Looks ok on a C5 but not on a C6. I vote no.

I have never personally seen a C6 with a side molding (rub strip).
Also never want to. Nope.

Besides, the rub strip would go in the cove area, which is concave. Doesn't make much sense to me.

No way. Mine is seven years old with no dings. Just use common sense where you park.
