Bad looking, not useful, detracts from the look of the car.

We try to park away from other cars, but aren't paranoid about it and we get others right beside us moderately often.

We've had 3 Corvettes over the last 11 years, total mileage over 150k, and never found any door dings in our paint. A little bit of luck and the flexible plastic body work well together.

Not for me but when the C6 first came out you could get them through the parts department

Okay, you guys have convinced me. I dont recall seeing one on a C6 either, now that I think about it. I am very careful where I park, but somehow, when I return, there is always a dang narly truck next to me, well not always but alot of times.
Being this is my first C6, I had no idea whether it was a good one or not.
Thanks. You guys saved me $300 to spend on other neat stuff like LED taillights, maybe.

I was going to pose the question of "has anyone ever seen BSM's on a C6?" This was the first and I would say no do not put them on.

I had them on my C5 and I liked the shape of them with the lines of the car. The C6 looks far better without them.

WELL...I put a set on. I have a 08 Black Vert and one month after I bought it New .... some moron opened their door into mine and took out a pencil eraser sized chip out of my drivers door. I did not want to risk having to look at a different hue in my black paint so I put the strips on .... one right over the paint chip. I have won MANY best in class at car shows in my area and the side strips were never an issue. If someone wants to post my pics send me an email address and I send them to you.

Umm, where does this strip line up with the door that's going to hit the C6?

I dunno, I saw several C6's with Lambo doors at the Plastic Fantastic Corvette show today . . . Looks sharp. I don't plan on doing it, but the look is interesting.

Lamborghini pretty much saw the light and stopped the foolish look so now the proper terminology is "vertical doors".

Yep! How many vehicles have you seen with some type of side molding any have dents or scratches everywhere but in the molding?

Corvette looks so much cleaner without the molding. I don't care for it but if I drove my car to a parking lot every day with lots of other cars always ready to park beside me I would put on the moldings.

I guess to each their own, not for everyone but I put them on my '07 LMB C6 and think it gives the car its own character. Check out my album. Flame suit is on.....
