Default gm drilled rotors on a base '12 coupe, what other parts do i need?

i would like to get the drilled gm rotors for my base coupe(the ones that come on the brake package). couple of questions. 1 are they the same size as stock and do i need a new caliper bracket.2 do i need different size pads or will the stock ones do.3 it looks like they use the same calipers for the drilled rotors true? i have aftermarket drilled and slotted on the car now but i like the look of the gm ones better(alot more holes). purely cosmetic reasons for drilled rotors on my car as it is my dd and driven pretty tame all the time. BTW any part #s. thanks ron

You have another option if you are just looking for the drilled and/or slotted rotors. A lot of the forum vendors have these in the stock non-Z51 rotor sizes for about $500. Here is a picture of my rear rotor.

When I had mine down for replacement I also replaced my pads with ceramics and it really cut down the brake dust.

GM # 89060328 for Z51 front rotor.
GM # 89060329 for Z51 rear rotor.
GM # 88964166 for Z51 front bracket.
GM # 88964167 for Z51 rear bracket.
GM # 88909667 for ACDelco front ceramic pads.
GM # 88909668 for ACDelco rear ceramic pads.

The front calipers are the same for base and Z51 brakes. The Z51 rear calipers are different in that they have a slightly smaller piston than does the base rear caliper. However, the base rear calipers will work just fine. The service manual states not to reuse your caliper bracket bolts so you may want to order those as well: GM # 14084051 (8 of them).

Excellent advice.. Thanks!

I just did my state inspection and was informed of my brakes. Looks like I'll be purchasing the above parts sometime later this year.

Since the slots shave down the pads to prevent glazing in track applications, there's no need for them in street use. Drilled only is the best way to go for daily driving.
