Default C6 Centennial edition shift ****/bolt/boot question.

I recently put a 2012 Centennial edition shifter, ****, and shift boot in my Z06-

The problem is with the supplied **** bolt- the head sticks out a tad, and wont allow the boot ring to go over it to screw onto the bottom of the ****.

Anyone else have this issue? Di you have to get a flat headed **** bolt fron a hardware store?

I had a similar issue. I think there was some washer on the bottom of the bolt that I removed. Removing that gave me enough clearance to wiggle the boot ring over it once its mounted on the shifter.

Even after removal it was a tight fit, but I got the ring over it.
