I am 23 and this type of stuff pops up on my Facebook feed all the time.
Got hit last year in my Z51 C6 twice by girls not paying attention.

ALMOST got railed last week in the Z06 by a girl in the middle of the road texting.

If you saw this as many times as I did a day on just FB alone you would never get on the road again.

This is why I sold my Yamaha R1. College girl not paying attention almost R a p e d me at a stop light. I looked behind me for whatever reason and saw an Escalade not slowing down. I had to blow the light she stopped like 3/4 of the way through the intersection.

Last year my mom was rear ended at a light. Girl was going 40+ and my mom was stopped.
A year of physical therapy later she still is in horrible pain

That is crazy. I have to be a defensive driver all the time too, for this stuff.

HOWEVER, The bluetooth phone connection works well in my 2011 for texting. When I get a text, it interrupts the radio, and asks me do I want to hear it. If I respond "yes", the car tells me the text. I can then respond by voice (all hands free, just like a call).

I have a Samsung Focus with Windows phone.

I'm OK with texting "hands free" with bluetooth like this, but I raise cain with anyone I see doing it by hand when driving.

Lol I used to have that until I realized that the maturity level / comedic genius category most of my friends fall into make this more dangerous.

I kid you not I was driving to Austin one day and I got a voice text that read (in the goofy woman's voice)

"Yo man you ready to hit up sixth and halla at the girls with the big ole tittays"

It's seriously like they new that was going to come through the speakers lol

I actually did quit riding motorcycles on the streets because of idiots like these. Last May I got rear ended by a stupid woman driving a large SUV who was playing with her phone, then mistook the gas pedal for the brake, slammed into me at WOT, shoved my car aside and when on 200 more yards before she figured out how to stop.
