Oh I already love her! I kept a honda civic as my daily driver, that way I can enjoy the vette by just taking her out when the weather is nice or on the weekends, but this week I feel like I can't bare to leave her at home and I want to take her with work to me! Seriously, every time I drive this car I have a huge grin on my face, people must think I'm crazy when they see me driving around!

Allison,
Congrats on the GS. She is a beauty. And they are a blast to drive.
2 suggestions, since you invited advice. First, get yourself a Mild 2 Wild switch. That allows you to open or close your NPP exhaust whenever you want (or you can leave it in the stock setting operation - either way, you get to decide).
Second, the first time you park this car (and every time thereafter) stay back from parking curbs. You do not want to pull this car up to curbs, it sits low enough you scrub the front end. Once you get the hang, visually, of how far to stay away from curbs it will become 2nd nature. But the first few times you need to be careful and error on the side of caution - i.e. too far away from curb is better than too close.
Enjoy and good for you. You've earned and sound like a go-getter. Welcome aboard.

Congrats .BTW if the picture of the the car parked with the horse trailor is where you are garaging the Vette then I would invest in Clearbra or the like to save the finish.

That was just out on the farm my fiancé's parents have, but I have been thinking of getting some 3m just for extra protection from driving, is that something anyone would recommend?

I am SO excited to be here, and I can't wait to explore more of the forum! If there's any advice you can pass on to a new corvette owner, I'd love to hear it! thanks!
Yup...quit going out to the garage every 20 minutes to make sure it is still there, don't drive in the horse crap, and enjoy you beautiful new car...

Hey Welcome!! I just bought my '12 base coupe a few days ago.
It's great to see that not all corvette buyers are old (I'm 23). She's a beauty though, I'm betting we're going through the same emotions today

Clearbra on a wide body C6 is recommended. Also include forward of the rear wheels on the quarter panels.

I'm a 24 years young Corvette owner as well. Bought my 2012 Coupe new a few months ago.
Some advice...
1.) Do not pull forward into a parking space in a parking lot where there will be someone pulling in directly in front of you. Back in if you have to park there. The front of the Vette is very low and others can (and WILL) misjudge the distance and make contact with your front bumper. Ask me how I know.
2.) If you have the extra money, it's a pretty good investment to have a clear bra professionally installed. Search around the forum for recommendations. I don't have one on mine yet, but plan to in the future.
3.) Read the owner's manual. Specifically about indexing the windows after disconnecting the battery, how to enter the vehicle with a dead battery, and regular maintenance.
4.) Buy a set of jack pucks (the kind that you leave in place). These will prevent damage in case someone needs to lift your vehicle with a jack.
There's some that I could think of off the top of my head. Visit the forum and you'll learn something new every day.
ENJOY!
