Default The Long Wait!

Hey Gang,

FINALLY!!!....my 2012 Grand Sport was delivered!....it was a long wait but definitely worth it!....

Tommy Jr. worked his magic again...for those who haven't bought from MacMulkin (Tommy Jr.) you are missing out on an experience. This guy was exchanging texts with me at 11:30PM...he never sleeps and follow-up on EVERYTHING...the transaction was smooth as silk...and his prices are unbeatable...

OK, enough for the Tommy Commercial!...

Here's a description of the new Baby...

Grand Sport Coupe
Crystal Red Metallic
Ebony Interior with the flag embroidery
NPP
Auto
Clear Roof
F55
Chrome Wheels
Full Spoiler
Navi

...she's a beaut! I really didn't think I'd see or feel much of a difference between my 2007 and the 2012...but I was wrong....the 2012 feels tighter, more refined and the F55 Mag ride is more distinctive (you can really feel the difference!)

Maybe I'll sleep in it tonight!....

I can RELATE! got my GS last week! I have the cleanest man cave around. The day the web site said it was shipped to the dealer, they called and said it was there. I was shocked. The smile should be practiced to stop the straching of the facial muscles. Get the wax ready it will be there SOON! GOOD LUCK

Nothing whatsoever to worry about. Probably just undergoing a series of shakedown test drives by some of the car jockeys at BG. They need to make sure it accelerates, corners and brakes the way it should, even after everything gets on the verge of overheating. SOP

Not another one that was scratched when a UAW member took it to McDonalds for lunch. You would think they would learn after the first couple of hundred they had to repaint before loading them on the truck.

My only hope is that the GMConnects website is slow in reporting status and my Baby is already on its way to me....but alas, I am not very hopeful. I was kinda' looking forward to a delivery this week but the days are marching on...

Trying to keep busy...mowed the lawn...twice...rearranged the patio furniture...scrubbed the garage floor....even began talking to the wife again!...

Anything to keep busy!
OK....here's the latest!...still nothing!....

03/13/2012 (4000) Vehicle available to ship.
03/13/2012 (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).
03/13/2012 (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.
03/15/2012 (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.

Car was built on the 13th and is STILL waiting for transport!....on the 22nd!...

My guess is that they are gift wrapping it for me!.......or they are waiting for more Chevy Volts to roll off the line so they can load up a trailer....Hmmm, this could be a while....

So I am back to killing time....garage is super clean...re-painted the living room...taking a long walks with the dog...but have run out of things to talk to the wife about...actually, the latter was a long time ago.

So, I am looking for other mind numbing endeavors...anything to make the days go faster.

Atleast it's "bayed" and not sitting outside ...

Hang in there. I am sure it is worth the wait.

Mine came off the line on Tuesday, but there have been no updates since then. The impatience is intense!

Unless there is a problem that needs correcting after the car is built(there is a repair bay that holds around a dozen cars), they are all sitting outside waiting to be loaded on a truck.

Even if there is a problem that needs correcting, as soon as the car is released by QA for shipment, it is moved outside to the giant storage lot. Do a Google Earth of the plant, to see how large the storage lot is.
